Meet David Rogers
With over 30 years of experience working with individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities (IDD), I've had the pleasure of gaining experience in all facets of the industry. My journey in the IDD sector began in 1989 working in both small and large ICF/IDD facilities in Oklahoma and Texas, eventually leading to my role as ICF/IDD Director at Dallas MetroCare Services (formerly Dallas County MHMR).
In 2001, I ventured into entrepreneurship, founding and owning multiple businesses, including 501(c)(3) organizations, LLCs, and S-corporations. Have owned an HCS program, and been the President of a company that is a 501 (c)(3). Along the way, I’ve gained extensive C-level management experience, overseeing teams of up to 100 staff, 150+ vendors. Have sold business either as an asset sale or stock sale. I have successfully managed multi-million-dollar businesses, including overseeing budgeting, quality assurance, strategic planning, HR, policy development, and marketing.
Having served in the U.S. Army Reserve/National Guard/Active Duty from 1986-2007, both enlisted and as an officer, I value time as the most precious commodity and dedicate my time to advancing businesses that serve the IDD community. Whether helping others transition out of the IDD space or expand their operations, my passion remains rooted in empowering individuals and organizations in this vital sector.
